These days, most of our purchases are made online. Why put on shoes and go down to the store when you could just buy what you need from the comfort of your couch (and more importantly, 5 feet away from the fridge)? If you can relate, you're going to love this internet shopping hack.
It's called Honey, and it's a free add-on for your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) that automatically finds and tests coupon codes while you shop.
Before I found Honey, I used to spend tons of time scouring coupon websites, social media, and forums for discounts. It was a huge pain and often the codes were expired or fake. Now that I have Honey, I can just enjoy shopping and know that I'm getting the best possible discount every time.
Here's how it works:
Once you install Honey, shop like normal. Honey works in the background scouring the Internet for discounts and verifying codes added by other Honey community members. Click the orange H to see all the available discounts.
Once you reach checkout, Honey will pop up. Click "Find Savings" and Honey automatically tests all available codes to see which code(s) will save you the most money. Here's how easy it was for me to save $54.23 at Urban Outfitters:
It's weirdly satisfying to watch the codes stream by and even more fun to see your cart total drop! I recently saved $153.09 on Pottery Barn, which is pretty good considering I did nothing but hit a button.
When you're on a budget like me, every dollar counts. That's why I never shop without my Honey button, and why I tell all of my friends and family to install it too.
