I love to shop online, and I've got the Pinterest boards to prove it. If I could convert a room in my apartment into my dream closet, I totally would. Unfortunately, this is the real world and I've got a normal-sized closet and a normal-sized budget to match. I don't let that stop me from expressing myself through fashion, though—I just have to be smart about how I spend my money.
Today, I wanted to tell you about one of my favorite money-saving shopping tools: Honey. It's a free add-on for your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) that automatically finds and tests coupon codes for thousands of sites, including Forever 21, Target, Macy's, and Sephora. I seriously never shop online without it.
Here's how it works:
Once you install Honey, shop like normal. Honey works in the background scouring the Internet for discounts and verifying codes added by other Honey community members. Click the orange H to see all the available discounts.
At checkout, Honey will pop up. Click "Find Savings" and Honey automatically tests all available codes to see which code(s) will save you the most money. Here's how easy it was for me to save $23.73 at American Eagle:
It's fun to watch the codes stream by and even more fun to see your cart total drop! I recently saved $76.36 at Macy's, which is pretty good considering I did nothing but hit a button.
When you're on a budget like me, every dollar counts. That's why I never shop without my Honey button, and why I tell all of my friends and family to install it too.
